A Weekend on Iona...

Pia and I spent a lovely few days on my favourite island. The ferry, bus and train journeys felt like happiness, not a chore, and once on Iona I was overwhelmed by memories of the place. My photography style has changed though, so that I managed to find lots of new perspectives. Here's a few:

the sea was fabulously choppy

the sky was bright, deep blue when we arrived

seaweed and twine on a fence, really simple, yet beautiful

the gorgeous Pia, at North End. This girl is so photogenic, makes me sick ;-)

lambs always seem a bit lost

a cloister, Iona Abbey

one of my favourite photos is of me standing on this spot, at the age of five, in wellies and dungarees. Now here I am again, 23, a little bit more growd up.

back on the ferries

everyone else was taking photos of the islands, but not me

Duart Castle, Mull

a wonderfully dark sea, between Mull and Oban

and last but by not means least ... because this blog is called in search of perfect turquoise after all. And it doesn't get much more perfect than the floor of a Cally Mac ferry.
